Ring Power's Cat Rental Store Donates Engines to Hillsborough County High School Technician Training Program

In November, members of Ring Power’s recruiting team visited Lennard High School in Ruskin, Fla., to donate two Caterpillar 3.3B engines to the school. Courtesy of Ring Power’s Cat Rental Store, the engines will be used in the school’s Ag Mechanics program to teach students about diesel engines and diesel aftertreatment systems.

The junior and senior level students have all expressed an interest in pursuing a career as diesel engine technicians; the opportunity for hands-on learning with the engines will provide an invaluable experience.

On Dec. 15, students in the program visited Ring Power’s Riverview branch to tour the facility and learn about the different divisions and departments. They had the chance speak to technicians and managers to discuss the many career opportunities available at Ring Power. All the students were eager to learn as much as possible, with many planning to apply to Ring Power’s Technician Apprentice career training program or for a ThinkBIG diesel technician scholarship.
