Ring Power Lift Trucks Empowers The Arc of Jacksonville with Forklift Donation & Training
In December, Ring Power Lift Trucks demonstrated its commitment to community support by donating a custom-painted forklift to The Arc of Jacksonville, an organization dedicated to providing employment opportunities and services for adults with intellectual and developmental differences.
"At Ring Power, we believe in investing in the communities we serve," said David Alban, CEO and President of Ring Power. "This forklift donation to The Arc of Jacksonville represents our commitment to creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals of all abilities. We're proud to support an organization that makes such a positive impact in people's lives."
The forklift is now being utilized at Triumph Industries, The Arc's production facility where employees with intellectual and developmental differences work on various contracts. One of their significant projects includes the packaging of 4 million boxes for Johnson & Johnson Vision contact lens shipments.
Triumph Industries currently employs approximately 45 individuals, all of whom earn at least minimum wage for their work.
The partnership continued in February when Patrick Knisel, Orlando Lift Trucks Safety Training Manager, traveled to The Arc of Jacksonville to conduct specialized forklift training. Patrick worked with two key employees—the warehouse manager and a long-time employee who is taking on expanded responsibilities to support warehouse functions—to certify them as forklift operator trainers.
"Training these team members as certified forklift operator trainers creates a sustainable path for skill development within The Arc," said Patrick Knisel. "This 'train-the-trainer' approach empowers them to build capacity internally and ensure safe operations for years to come. It was incredibly rewarding to see the enthusiasm and quick learning displayed by the participants."
"You just taught me about 8 different things," said warehouse manager Dallas following a brief overview of the things that he would cover in training later that day.
This partnership between Ring Power Lift Trucks and The Arc of Jacksonville exemplifies how corporate engagement can create lasting positive impacts in the community while supporting meaningful employment for all individuals.
