Around the world people recognize the famous yellow hue of Cat equipment.
But sometimes, a customer wants to customize the look of their machine.
Recently, Ground Control of Florida acquired a Cat 930M for their Florida Site Work operation. The customer wanted to change the color of the machine, and possibly their whole fleet. After going through some color swatches, the customer decided on a dark gray they liked, and Ring Power’s Florida paint shop team went to work.
Our expert paint shop technicians began by removing as many panels from the machine as possible, to ensure complete coverage. The machine was then sandblasted and hand sanded. Afterwards, an industrial gloss black was applied to the cab, cylinders, and radiator area. After masking off the black, the paint shop applied and epoxy primer, and then two coats of the dark gray. After the machine was dried, the paint shop reinstalled the body panels and decaled the machine.
