Since 1981 the Children’s Dream Fund has been making dreams come true for children who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. Recently, Ring Power had the opportunity to fulfill the dream of one little boy who had always wanted to ride “in a real Tonka truck!”
CDF Dream Coordinator Kim Brett contacted Ring Power for help organizing the “dream experience” for three-year-old Renton Bryant and his family. Two weeks after the tyke’s final chemotherapy treatment, Renton’s mother, father, older sister and twin brother were chauffeured by limo to our Sarasota store. There, Service Manager Nathan Worley had prepared a small demo site for some hands-on fun with real construction equipment. The highlight of the morning, of course, was a ride with Nathan in a real Cat 740B articulated truck!
Dream experiences are meant to encourage children who have undergone difficult medical treatments; to help them overcome their fears and give them – and their families – hope for the future.
