Air Compressor Group Hopes Equipment Loan Yields Future Technicians

For several years, Ring Power has worked closely with the J-Tech Institute to develop the next generation of technicians.

Gabe Sacco (St. Augustine Asst. Training Mgr.) sits on the nonprofit Jacksonville vocational school’s Diesel Advisory Committee, where he provides input and advice on the programs, resources and materials utilized by J-Tech. All of this is geared to producing graduates with the skills Ring Power is looking for in a technician.

The school currently has three engines on loan from Ring Power, giving students the opportunity to work hands-on with Cat® engines and hone their skills.

On Aug. 28, J-Tech students gained another piece of equipment to learn on, when the Ring Power’s Florida Air Compressor group loaned out a Sullair 185 portable air compressor to the school. The hope is to develop qualified technicians who will come work for the air compressor service department in the future.
