Ring Power Air Compressor Group Sponsors Pumpkin Chunker Team

October 11, 2012 at 9:52 AMRing Power

It’s that time of year again. Fall is in the air. Some people like to carve pumpkins this time of year — we prefer to launch them into the air at impressive speeds. That’s why we’re a proud sponsor of American Chunker. Ring Power, with the help of Sullair, has supplied the American Chunker team a high pressure compressor known as "Compressorzilla.” American Chunker will be competing with other Punkin Chunkin teams throughout the season. We’ll post more photos and updates as the season progresses.

Columbia High School Gets a Lift from Ring Power

October 8, 2012 at 9:59 AMRing Power

Ring Power donates the use of Cat forklift to high school’s Global Logistics Academy

In a small Lake City warehouse, big things are happening.

The warehouse is part of Columbia High School’s Global Logistics Academy, and inside students get hands-on instruction, gaining the skills and experience necessary for a successful career in the logistics field.

But until recently the warehouse lacked a key ingredient — a forklift

So academy instructor Rebecca Golden made a call to Ring Power in Lake City and Regional Sales Manager Todd Sandlin set the wheels in motion to make a forklift in the warehouse become a reality.

Oct. 2 Ring Power Lift Trucks, with administrators and students watching, handed over the keys to a Cat Lift Trucks C5000 to Golden. With the support of Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift of America (MCFA), Ring Power Lift Trucks donated the use of the Cat Lift Trucks forklift for the academic year.

“The forklift will allow students to train and become forklift certified, making them more employable,” said Golden.

Having a forklift in the warehouse will also allow outside groups to come in and become forklift certified, providing additional income to sustain the program, Golden said.

At the warehouse on campus students receive books from First Book, an organization out of Washington D.C. that collects and donates books. When a shipment arrives, students receive the order, package the books and then distribute them throughout the country.

Three years ago the Global Logistics Academy started with just 53 students. Currently 124 students are enrolled in the program and many of them enter careers in the logistics field upon completion of the program.

Anthony and Andrew Pickolo started in the logistics program in their sophomore year. Now seniors, they are spending time in the warehouse on-campus and interning with several companies off-campus.

Andrew said once he completes the program this year he is “pretty much guaranteed employment at the Target distribution center.”

Target has also partnered with the logistics academy and recently donated racking for the warehouse.

The Columbia High School Logistics Academy makes a lot of sense.

Lake City, with its access to major highways and rail lines, is quickly positioning itself as an inland port. Several major corporations have distribution centers already located in Lake City, and many more are expected.

Ring Power Creates Special Time for Local Dreamers

October 5, 2012 at 11:19 AMRing Power

For many children facing life-threatening illnesses, the realities of their battles do not stop once a dream is fulfilled. In the effort to create additional moments of joy and hope for local children before and after their dream, Dreams Come True established Special Times. Yesterday, the Ring Power Corporation, for a third year, hosted dreamers for a Special Time at their corporate headquarters in St. Augustine.

Organized through Dreams Come True’s young professionals group, the Horizon Board, Tavi Sport, 4, Cayden Seng, 7, and Ronald Brown, 7, enjoyed a private tour of the Ring Power facility off World Commerce Parkway.

With representatives from Ring Power Corporation and Dreams Come True, each dreamer was given the opportunity to see and learn about Caterpillar® equipment. Their tour included the chance to practice operating heavy machinery with the help of simulators in Ring Power’s Training Department, visits to the Power Systems Truck Shop and the Heavy Equipment Service Shop, an opportunity to climb on stationary equipment, a backhoe loader demonstration and individual tours of Ring Power’s property in the cab of a 740 Cat® dump truck. Following their tour, each dreamer was given a bag filled with special toys and souvenirs from Ring Power Corporation.

A past Horizon Board member, Heather Lane, works in Ring Power’s marketing department and has helped coordinate the tours for the past three years.

“Dreams Come True is a remarkable local organization. It brings such joy to so many in Northeast Florida, Ring Power included. Our team feels honored to get to spend time with these special children, I think our employees enjoy it more than the kids do! It’s been one of the most rewarding highlights of my position here,” said Lane.

Dreams Come True’s Special Times program provides the dream child and his or her family a time to momentarily forget the realities of life-threatening illnesses.  It may be a special tour, dinner at a favorite restaurant, tickets to local events, a relaxing evening at the movies, a day of beauty, a gift certificate to a store, new release DVDs or even a special holiday or birthday treat.

Since 2010, Ring Power Corporation has hosted 15 dreamers and their families for this Special Time organized by the Horizon Board.

There's No Such Thing as One-Size-Fits-All

September 24, 2012 at 12:14 PMRing Power

There’s really no such thing as one-size-fits-all. Sure, some clothing claims to be one-size-fits-all, but in reality — it doesn’t exactly "fit" every person just right.

Ring Power Lift Trucks is certainly not in the clothing business, but we understand that the one-size-fits-all approach just doesn’t work, especially when it comes to forklifts.big joe forklift florida

That’s why we’re proud to carry multiple lines of Lift Trucks to meet the individual material handling needs of your business. Whether you’re in the market for a new forklift, a used forklift, or just need to rent one for a short time.

We recently launched a renewed partnership with Big Joe Pallet Movers to carry its lifts at Ring Power Lift Trucks ten locations throughout Florida.

We’re happy to continue our relationship with Big Joe. They provide widely accepted entry level economically attractive products that complement our current line of forklifts.

And if your lift no longer “fits” your needs, rest assured we have one that will.

We represent leading forklift manufactures, including; Cat Lift Trucks, Mitsubishi Forklifts, Clark Material Handling, Jungheinrich warehouse trucks, Linde, CombiLift, Kalmar container handlers and industrial forklifts, Bendi and Drexel wing mast, Navigator , Princeton Piggybacks, Big Joe and more.

It’s a Cat

September 20, 2012 at 11:54 AMRing Power

When the Caterpillar CT15 Engine was announced in May, it joined the CT11 and CT13 as the third engine option available for the Cat CT660 Vocational Truck.

Offering greater horsepower and torque, the CT15 is the perfect addition to the already impressive offering of available engines.

One of the more frequently asked question by buyers relates to Cat content versus Navistar content.

While it’s true that the CT11, CT13 and CT15 are manufactured for Cat by Navistar, all of the engines are worthy of the Cat name. Cat worked closely with Navistar to ensure all three engine options offer the same performance and reliability that Cat customers have come to expect.

Additionally, all of the engines are backed by the Cat dealer network and Ring Power is here to meet any of your needs.

It’s also worth noting that the CT15 includes many Cat manufactured features. The block is from the C15 with only minor modifications. The Cylinder head casting was modified to accommodate the installation of the common rail fuel system. The Crankshaft and bearings are Cat. The Camshaft is Cat. The Rocker arms and bridges are Cat. The connecting rods are Cat. The Flywheel housing is Cat. The lube oil pump and system is Cat. The Rock cover is Cat. The filters are Cat. The air compressor is Cat.

DeSantis was on-site to film portions of an upcoming campaign video, and Heavy Equipment II Technicians, Jimmy Wiggins and Adam Rake even got in on the action.

While the video is not yet available, here are some pictures of last week’s visit.

Are All Used Forklifts the Same? We Say NO!

August 16, 2012 at 10:23 AMRing Power

See how our used forklifts differ from the competitions.

reconditioned forklift for sale

The quality and pride Ring Power Lift Trucks takes in rebuilding and reconditioning a used forklift is the difference. Our goal when producing a used lift truck, is to provide a quality forklift that far exceeds our customer’s expectations, backed by superior support services, guarantees and warranties.

To meet these goals the following forklift components and systems are visually inspected and replacement parts or reconditioning as needed:

• Engines & Transmissions – Transmissions and engines including support systems are thoroughly inspected to ensure appropriate performance for operational hours.
• Hydraulic Systems – The forklift's hydraulic system, including cylinders and hoses, is inspected. Any hydraulic leaks are repaired and the entire system is checked to ensure appropriate performance.
• Masts – Mast including rollers and lift chains are inspected for damage and wear. Adjustments are made to ensure safe dependable operation.
• Steer & Drive Axles – inspected for leaks or damage due to overloading or abuse.
• Brakes – The forklift's brakes are visually and operationally tested with adjustments or replacement as needed.
• Gauges & Electrical Systems – Complete electrical system, including gauges, is inspected with corrections made as needed.

The entire forklift and it's systems are then tested for proper operation. See more forklift pictures at our Google+ Page

The Mitsubishi FD150 forklift, pictured at right, had badly damaged body and carriage and needed plenty of cleaning and reconditioning. The Mitsubishi FD50 required new body work, new tires, new paint and we steam cleaned the engine.

Ring Power Lift Trucks leases and finances a wide variety used forklifts throughout Florida, from pneumatic tire IC forklifts to efficient electric cushion forklifts, from container handlers by Kalmar and Linde to narrow aisle warehouse forklifts by Jungheinrich, Mitsubishi Forklifts, Cat Lift Trucks, Clark, Linde, Princeton and others. Visit our website for complete information.See our entire inventory of used electric forklifts and wide range of IC pneumatic forklifts for sale.
