Dream Traxx Video Captures Telly Award

August 1, 2014 at 8:22 AMRing Power

In June, "Find A Way: Dream Traxx,” won a 2014 Bronze Telly Award. This is quite an honor for Caterpillar, Ring Power and the customer, as the Telly Awards recognize the very best in film and video production, online videos, programs and commercials, and local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs. More than 12,000 entries from all over the world were in the running for an award this year.

Simantel, a creative agency based in Peoria, Ill., collaborated with Rihg Power's SVP Marketing & Public Relations Director Sue Miller, Tampa Cat Rental Store Account Manager Greg Brill and Caterpillar to develop a short documentary-style video showcasing Dream Traxx – one of Greg’s customers – a company that builds top-quality, professional dirt bike tracks. The production tells a visually exciting story about an enduring relationship between the customer and Ring Power, including dramatic footage of motocross action shot from the ground and from the air using drone cameras.

The video is part of a series showcasing how Cat dealers partner with customers to help them succeed. To see the video, visit www.CatAllDay.com/FindAWay

Monster Jam Rallies Rely on Ring Power Rentals

February 27, 2014 at 11:26 AMRing Power

Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa recently hosted Monster Jam rallies and each time Ring Power’s Cat Rental Store and Heavy Equipment personnel helped make it happen.

On Jan. 18 the first show rolled into Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium. It took more than 30 pieces of Ring Power’s rental equipment — excavators, dozers, loaders, multi terrain loaders, telescopic forklifts, light towers, rollers, water trucks and even a generator — to prepare the track for the big event and ensure the show went off without a hitch.

After the show all of the equipment was transported to Orlando to prepare the Citrus Bowl for the Monster Jam rally Jan. 25. The show was a huge hit but there was no time to celebrate. The equipment needed to go back to Raymond James in Tampa to prepare for a third Monster Jam rally Feb. 1.

Three weeks later it was time to do it all over again — this time at Everbank Field in Jacksonville.

Ring Power's Cat® Rental Store offers daily, weekly and monthly rental of all types of contractor's equipment, including construction, earthmoving, paving, utility and material handling equipment - from aerial platform lifts, crane trucks, air compressors, sweepers, and light towers to bulldozers, skid steers and backhoe loaders and more.

Job Well Done: Kudos to CRS Field Service Technician Jesse Judd

October 10, 2013 at 8:20 AMRing Power

Cat Rental Store Field Service Technician Jesse Judd helped one customer identify and fix a small problem before it became a big one. To learn more about Jesse’s commitment to providing the best service, read the letter below from James Kummer, Polk County Parks Construction Manager.

FROM:             James Kummer

TO:                 Matt Burroughs

SUBJECT:         Kudos for Troubleshooting

Gentlemen,

Our new 299 compact loader developed a problem of automatic braking during operation. Jessie Judd investigated the problem this morning [Sept. 9] and nailed it. Diagnostics did not reveal problem so he assimilated running a pattern to surface malfunction. He determined it was electrical by watching panel’s reaction while in running mode. He then performed wiring trace and found that one cable that tees off of battery terminal was loose enough to break contact during operations. This may sound simple now that it has been discovered but could have led to an ongoing chronic problem that very well could have caused more damage to unit because it was not an evident problem. It was Jessie Judd’s expertise and dedicated diligence to pursue and eradicate problem that impressed me.  He possesses outstanding customer service skills as well. Please take the time to recognize and commend him for a job well done.

Ring Power® Celebrates 50 Years as Full-Line Caterpillar® Dealer

March 26, 2012 at 10:21 AMRing Power
This month Ring Power Corporation, in St. Augustine, Florida, celebrates 50 years as a full-line dealer of Caterpillar earthmoving, engine and material handling equipment.

Ring Power Corporation proudly announces their 50-year, golden anniversary as a Caterpillar dealership in Florida. In 1961, L.C. Ringhaver, the owner of the world’s largest shrimp boat manufacturer, Diesel Engine Sales, Inc. (DESCO), acquired the Caterpillar engine dealership rights from Jacksonville-based Gibbs Corporation. Originally established in St. Augustine, Fla., Ring Power Corp. was founded to sell and service Cat® marine engines to Northeast Florida’s thriving shrimp trawler industry.

Following the death of Cat dealer Lobrano Machinery Company’s president and owner, Tom Lobrano, Ring Power Corporation was awarded the dealer territory in Jacksonville, Ocala and Tallahassee, Fla. for the full line of Caterpillar equipment in March of 1962.

For the next 14 years, L.C. Ringhaver successfully developed the North Florida Caterpillar dealership, Ring Power Corporation, into a customer-focused, service-oriented establishment. Upon L.C. Ringhaver’s death in 1976, his eldest son, Lance Ringhaver, assumed leadership of the company as President and Chairman, a role he would retain until his acquisition of the Central Florida Caterpillar dealership, Rozier Machinery, 10 years later.

In 1986, Caterpillar awarded the Central Florida dealership rights to the Ringhavers. Lance Ringhaver moved to Tampa, Fla. to start a new dealership, Ringhaver Equipment Company, while Randy Ringhaver took leadership of Ring Power Corporation in Jacksonville. For nearly two decades, both Cat dealerships continued to flourish, taking on new business opportunities and products such as an expanded power systems line, rental equipment operations, forklifts, cranes, air compressors and utility equipment, all backed by parts and product support.

In 2004, Ringhaver Equipment Company and Ring Power Corporation officially merged into one consolidated company with Randy Ringhaver as Chairman and President of the new Ring Power Corporation. The combined Cat dealership territory now consists of 44 counties throughout North and Central Florida.

Ring Power Corporation, the North and Central Florida Caterpillar dealer, is headquartered in St. Augustine, Florida. Ring Power is comprised of eight divisions and has 50 years of experience servicing and supporting Caterpillar and allied equipment.
