Not All NFPA Compliant Gensets are Created Equal

June 14, 2016 at 12:21 PMRing Power

While many stand-by natural gas generator set providers claim to be NFPA 110 compliant, not all compliant units are created equal. Ring Power CAT units meet T-10 compliance which ensures that your facility load is back operating within 10 seconds or less. The next time you consider a stand-by genset, be sure to read the fine print. Some NFPA 110 compliant offerings can take 30 seconds or more, leaving your facility longer in the dark.

If you have any questions or are interested in spec'ing a stand-by natural gas generator set, please contact Ring Power today.

October 7, 2010 at 3:24 PMRing Power

Electric Power Business Development Manager Rod BriggsNew hire forges relationships with Florida’s electrical and mechanical engineering communities.

Ring Power Corporation is pleased to announce the addition of Rod Briggs to the company’s Power Systems division. As Electric Power Business Development Manager, Briggs’ primary mission is to assist the mechanical and electrical engineering community and the Ring Power Systems sales team in designing and developing specifications for electric power generation, stand-by power and prime stand-by power projects.

Briggs’ Electric Power Business Development Manager position was envisioned to add a new dimension to the process of technical support guaranteed by Ring Power Systems and Caterpillar electric power products. Briggs will provide intensive assistance to the Consulting Engineering Community and the Ring Power sales team in the very early stages of electrical product development. Briggs will contribute to projects beginning with the idea/ concept phase then providing technical information, budget pricing and support all the way through installation and commissioning. Briggs will provide a one-stop-shop for information on everything from UPS systems, stand-by power, bi-fuel, load management, EPA Tier 4 Emissions regulations, utility interfacing, peak shaving and more. Briggs will develop relationships between key Consulting Engineers and Ring Power salesmen providing a relaxed, convenient, highly competent source of technical data, business case analysis and experience in helping form direction and specifications for any electric power systems project. Briggs’ highly specialized electric power niche is an effort unmatched by the competition in north and central Florida.

Briggs worked for Caterpillar, Inc. in Peoria, Ill. for more than 35 years, where the majority of his career focused on Caterpillar generators. In addition to a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Ill., Briggs holds a Master of Business Administration from Bradley University in Peoria.

Ring Power Vice President and New Engine Business Development Manager Keith Moore looks forward to Briggs’ contributions to Power Systems business. "Today more than ever it is critical that Ring Power stay in front of the engineering community and provide the necessary technical and supporting information to specify Caterpillar electric products," he explains. "Rod brings a wealth of Caterpillar experience and will be a valuable asset to the Florida engineering community in the design of Caterpillar mission critical systems."

"This Electric Power Business Development Manager Position is just one more step in assuring that Ring Power is viewed in the market place as ‘the best and most credible source for electric power projects’", Briggs explains. "Information, technical guidance, business analysis, products, and support after installation are all included." Ring Power Systems looks forward to Briggs’ expertise in assisting Florida’s engineers throughout the entire electric power application process.
